I started out in book publishing and have never lost my love of well-crafted word. During my career, I have held senior communications roles, led award-winning communications teams and dressed up as a superhero to mark the anniversary of a new children's hospital - so I'm pretty versatile!
Now I work with clients to understand their organisation, their audiences and their communications challenges. I help them to develop communications strategies, plans and campaigns that really connect and deliver organisational objectives. This could mean auditing existing communications to understand what's working well and what needs to improve; developing a communications campaign to engage supporters in a new initiative; crafting a messaging framework and training your team so that all your communications is consistent and coherent; curating an impact report that demonstrates your organisation's social value.
My experience spans communications, public relations and marketing, as well as copywriting, publishing and website development -the common thread is a love of clear, compelling communications that really connects.

I've honed my communications skills over 20 years in organisations large and small, from local government and NHS trusts to small charities with budgets to match.
I have a wealth of expertise working with organisations in health, social inclusion, skills and the environment.
I love talking to and involving stakeholders and service users in shaping communications and messaging.
Recently, I've worked with the youth board of a conservation charity to develop an event for young people under-represented in nature conservation. I've also developed a marketing and communications campaign for a local government programme offering career support to people on low incomes, working with individuals to share their stories. I worked with a youth charity to launch their new five-year strategy, developing a content creation campaign to engage partners, funders, supporters and young people in the launch.
