Vision Mission

Overview

I specialise in working with charities and social enterprises to develop compelling, winning funding applications to trusts, foundations and other grant-making organisations.

I also have extensive successful experience in winning contract funding from the public sector including local authorities, Department for Work and Pensions, Ministry of Justice and others.

My services include:

  • Searching for suitable funding opportunities including helping your organisation to build a pipeline
  • Developing your organisation’s journey of change for the application project. Helping you tell the story of how you make a difference and why the funder should support your beneficiaries
  • Writing the application, making sure your answers address what the funder wants to know
  • Helping develop the project budget and advising on what needs to be included
  • Managing the application process making sure your response is complete, of high quality and submitted to  deadline
  • Supporting your organisation to understand the requirements of the funder when you are successful. For  example, the importance of measuring the impact of your project, providing the reports and feedback funders want so that they want to fund you again!

I work collaboratively, wanting to support you to achieve your funding application goals not just through one-off support but also by providing longer term advice including training your fundraising team to write compelling applications.

I have worked for not-for-profit organisations as a front-line worker, marketing manager, business development manager and strategic development director.

I have been a charity trustee for more than 10 years, committed to being part of their growth and sustainability.

In the last three years, as an independent consultant, I have worked with social businesses ranging from small to million+ turnover and led successful applications to: National Lottery, Social Enterprise Support Fund, London Community Response Fund, BBC Children in Need and trusts and foundations including Garfield Weston, Lloyds of London, L & Q Foundation, Childwick Trust, Assura Community Fund, Baily Thomas, Skipton Building Society, CAF, Hospital Saturday Fund, Henry Smith and more.  I have also won places on local authority frameworks for support and accommodation for looked after children and care leavers, and vulnerable adults in Bradford, West Sussex, Ealing, Croydon, Luton, Kirklees and others.
