Social Research ReImagined

I am a researcher and evaluator with over 20 years’ experience designing participatory, inclusive and creative research. I combine my practice experience with research knowledge to design research and evaluation that prioritise voice and lived experiences. I have a strong track record in delivering projects in the public and voluntary sectors, working with clients across social care, community education and international development.

At Social Research ReImagined, I lead a unique team of researchers, practitioners and creatives. Our combined skills enable us to design research that prioritises dialogue – from the way we engage with clients to clarify goals, to our knowledge of participatory research methods, to our ability to design creative outputs – we work collaboratively with clients to ensure our work is inclusive, ethical and grounded in people owning their stories. We commit to being a learning partner throughout all aspects of project design and delivery – whether that be facilitating workshops and reflective spaces, designing research to capture impact, or developing outputs to effectively communicate the complex realities of people’s lives.

This includes leading fieldwork in rural communities across multiple global south countries, leading peer and co-designed research, working as a learning partner to support project evaluations, and analysing large-scale data sets to identify long-term change.

– Global Baseline Study – delivered mixed methods study to understand people’s experiences of harmful attitudes and behaviours
– 5-Year Fitness to Teach Review – in-depth analysis of the General Teaching Council for Scotland’s fitness to teach cases to increase transparency.
