Experience
35 years’ experience of working in the fields of agroecology, agriculture, forests and other land use (AFOLU), sustainable land use, climate change, biodiversity and nature; undertaking research, advocacy, policy development and monitoring and evaluation. She is passionate about working in the field of sustainable farming and forestry and about contributing to work that leads to the adoption of the principles of agroecology and to climate change mitigation and adaptation. She has worked mainly in the UK, Sub Saharan Africa, S.E. Asia and Eastern Europe with governments, donors and implementing partners, including small and large NGOs. Her qualifications in Anthropology (PhD) and Agricultural and Forest Sciences (Masters) as well as her extensive work experience in the UK and overseas, has given her strong sector knowledge, contextual understanding and holistic as well as analytical insights into food, farming, forestry and nature. Her work experience has also given her the ability to translate complex issues relating to these sectors into clear actionable guidance, recommendations and advice.
