Nicky has over 30 years’ experience in Fundraising, Development and Campaigns.
She began her career in retail before moving to the public sector where she successfully wrote EU bids; it was then that she decided to use her talents in the Not for Profit/ charity sector.

Nicky has held the roles of Director of Fundraising/Development and/or Campaigns for charities including Children in Need, Lloyd’s of London Foundation, Save the Children, the design museum, Carers UK, Youth Business International, Ripple Effect (Send a Cow), Cardiff University, Demelza Hospice Care for Children, Comic Relief, Blue Cross, Breast Cancer Care.

As a specialise in reviewing current fundraising and campaigns strategies, Nicky delivers a bigger picture approach that includes related infrastructure, delivering growth plans and departmental restructures, and delivery planning including new income streams. She also works with charities to develop their case for support, alongside advising on corporate partnerships, statutory, philanthropy and trust bids.

Often staying on in role as an interim to make sure changes are embedded into the organisational ethos Nicky is adept at mentoring staff to deliver the maximum return on investment.

Addressing new ways of working Nicky has supported charities grow income exponentially, and supporting charities in their recruitment of new fundraisers, making sure they attract the best talent.

A highly experienced and commercially astute Not for Profit professional with over 30 years Charity and Corporate partnership/foundations experience, including Global Insurance charities, and partnership networks.
Exceptional interim director, able to support ‘business as usual’, while reviewing current activities and developing innovative new income opportunities for all voluntary streams – fully integrated campaigns across an organisation.
• Forward thinking, innovative and entrepreneurial Director of Development, Fundraising, Marketing and Communications (inc Digital/Social Media, traditional, TV), interim CEO, and Head of Charitable Foundations.
• Experienced leader of Change for transformational growth (specialising in strategy and Income growth), from Strategic review, through the delivery of all recommended changes (strategic business plans, governance, risk, budgets, compliance, policies, grant giving and future fundraising potential, impact reporting etc.).

Developing and delivering successful Integrated Campaigns to secure income, brand profile and reach new audiences; acquiring, retaining and developing donors; new product design for target markets. Leading teams (2 fte to 95 fte), building rapport, trust and respect.

Very experienced financial manager knowledgeable of SORP, HMRC, GDPR, PECR, FPS and ICO, experienced in all areas of income processing, compliance and data management, reviewing risk.
