Michael Stubbings
Michael is an expert in commercial activities and charitable trading.
In 2022, following a successful career in the private sector as a CEO and in Finance & Commercial Director roles, equipped with an MSc in Charity Sector Management and a Diploma in Charity Accounting, he moved across to the charity sector.
Michael has 20+ years of commercial experience, plus time spent as a trustee and as a trading subsidiary non-executive director, and he uses that knowledge (along with a positive, can-do attitude!) to advise charities on strategy and operations from ideation to fruition.
If you have trading activities that need fine-tuning, or if you’re interested in the idea having never tried it before, Michael is very keen to hear from you.

Experience
“Working with Michael on the trading subsidiary side of LWT over the past year has been a joy! He brings endless positivity and passion to the role as well as laser-point financial acumen and insightful industry anecdotes. These have been particularly welcome as we reshape our strategic outlook on commercial activity within a charity and his recent MSc was a constant source of wisdom as we navigated this review. He has had a huge impact on the business management of our organisation in a relatively short space of time.” Director of Visitor Experience, London Wildlife Trust
“Michael’s advice and ongoing support has been instrumental in asserting our value and communicating our commercial offer as a non-profit. Trading income is new to us, and with increased interest, we’ve found ourselves needing to consider all of the practicalities that come with these opportunities; ensuring we’re staying on track to deliver impact and keeping our stakeholders at the core of our work.” CEO, Face Equality International
