Experience
The Shore Community Church
Started working as Chief of Operations in 2023.
Finished the transfer from charity to CIO that had been stalling for 4 years.
First detailed organisational risk register. Spotted gaps in insurance cover.
Improved HR processes and policies / procedures.
Grant income from £40k to £130k p.a. over 3 years. Whilst there rental income was high and a number of key projects were managed – roof project, café improvements, garden project etc.
Collaborated with wide leadership, staff and volunteer team.
Home Start South West Kent
Started as Fundraising consultant in May 2023 and still there today.
Has exceeded fundraising targets by approx. £5-10k each year through persistent grant applications and organised monthly pipeline activity.
Secured a second 5 year lottery Reaching Communities grant in April 2025 against tough competition.
Built up a good relationship with Regional Officer at BBC Children In Need and turned around a definite no in 2022 to a stage 2 main application that looks very positive.
Diversifying income – events (golf day and quizzes) to Big Give and potential charity shop.
Help for Heroes
Responsible for implementing Board strategy.
Influenced positive change across the marketing, fundraising and support teams with the objectives of increasing income and beneficiary impact and efficiency of pan fundraising operational projects.
Worked closely with recovery teams to provide impact reports for funders and with marketing to ensure fundraising materials and content complied with the Code of Fundraising Practice.
Provided effective management of the Gift Aid improvement project across all teams.
