Anna Campbell
I founded High View Consultancy at the beginning of 2024, after over 25 years working in professional membership organisations and registered charities. My goal is to support and strengthen the people and organisations who strengthen our communities.
Good governance is the foundation stone of any organisation, but it can be one of the hardest things to get right, particularly for charities at that pivotal moment of growth: moving from kitchen table to an organisation with staff and increasing reach and impact. I have experienced first-hand the challenges of running a small charitable organisation, and know that calm, compassionate support can be vital in navigating those challenges and moments of transition.
I aim to combine that calm, compassionate approach with practical, hands-on support, allowing organisations to focus on their mission because they know the foundational structures being developed are robust, tailored to the organisation, and will allow it to grow sustainably.
In practice, this means supporting organisations with wide-ranging and in-depth governance reviews, constitutional and policy drafting, trustee and Chair recruitment, board and committee support, and navigating charity registration and regulatory requirements. I work with integrity and empathy, building trusted partnerships and tailoring my support to each organisation, recognising that good governance should serve its purpose and people, not become a burden in itself.

Experience
Before setting up my consultancy, I spent over 25 years working within professional membership organisations and registered charities. Across roles covering medical education and training, operational and project management, and strategic development, good governance was the golden thread that ran through everything, reinforcing the need for strong foundations to support the complex, multi-stranded work charity leaders manage daily. Much of my experience involved working with complex public sector organisations, liaising with and often influencing senior leaders across the sector.
I have also run a small international charitable organisation in the medical sector, and know first-hand the challenges of driving change when governance structures have not kept pace with growth, including reluctance to move away from established ways of working.
This long grounding in the day-to-day realities of both charitable and membership organisations means I bring both strategic insight and practical understanding to my consultancy work.
