Clients

After 40 years – too many clients to mention, but the range of subjects has covered the vast majority of third sector aims, while the skills and support clients need are consistently very common and related to trustees, board and staff development, along with an understanding of the means and potential to resource solutions to the organisations aims.

Our aims are to ensure that our clients not only succeed but take ownership of anything we help them with. So we tend to keep our involvement transparent to support and reinforce that. We keep a reasonably confidential position with clients except, where by their agreement, they share information with others and usually for mutual gain.

Qualifications

My relevant qualifications are in-house training in the civil service (Government Communications Headquarters), The private sector – particularly during the 11 years working in (Rank Hovis Mcdougall) RHM Management Services Division and 25 years in Dundee City Council where I spent that time supporting the Council and predominantly the third sector to develop as an additional resource to the community.

Experience

In my current role, I prioritise work with small and relatively small medium sized charities.

My history includes a wide range of experience, starting in the civil service, then into the private sector culminating as a regional manager in the UK management services division of a large international company, then to 25 years starting as an assistant to the Chief Executive in one of Scotland 4 city local authorities. However within the first few months the general role for the Chief Executive changed so that inclusive of that 25 years I’ve gained over 40 years experience in helping third sector organisations develop and resource their aims.

I started the company to continue that support for those in the third sector who want to support the community.
