Deane Associates

Deane Associates provides consultancy services to the arts, heritage and third sectors. Our approach is practical, flexible and client–centred. We work closely with clients to evaluate the risks and benefits of business development, expansion, change and re-organisation. We help them troubleshoot problems and develop long-term, sustainable strategies for future development, implementing the necessary changes in a way which is wholly consistent with their core purpose, and is realistic and deliverable in terms of cost and organisational capacity. With excellent internal and external communication, facilitation and presentation skills, Deane Associates is able to work with a wide range of client groups and stakeholders from key workers and local beneficiaries, to senior management, funders and public and private sector partners.

Our clients include:

- Large organisations - such as Canal and Rivers Trust, Northern School of Contemporary Dance, The Children's Society, City and Guilds, Leicester City Council (Libraries Service)

- Small and medium sized arts organisations, charities and social enterprises - such as Goodwin Development Trust, Bradford Literature Festival and Consortia of Ethnic Minority Organisations.

Deane Associates has over 25 years experience, with a successful track record of project delivery, ranging from business planning and fundraising strategies for new start-ups to growth and organisational development strategies for established organisations, often building long-term client relationships. We have assisted many arts and voluntary sector clients with their capital projects – from new build to renovation of listed buildings – undertaking all aspects of options appraisal, feasibility studies, business planning, project management and fundraising. Experienced in both Spaceshaper and Logo Visual Thinking group facilitation techniques, we support clients to maximise stakeholder and community engagement through bespoke consultation activities and creative workshop facilitation, mobilising local support and providing a robust evidence base for fundraising and business planning.
