Change Q

I’m the founder of Change Q, a specialist strategy consultancy for charities and social enterprises. I’m passionate about helping charities to access good quality strategy know how and about creating shared understanding across organisations. Experienced and qualified in practical strategic skills, as well as the psychology of effective leadership and learning, I’ve worked in the sector for over 25 years. During that time I’ve helped staff and Board members, in a wide variety of charities, to feel comfortable being strategic in a third sector setting, so they can help their organisations to achieve more. This includes helping them to develop service strategies with greater impact, maintaining organisational relevance in a changing environment, growing and diversifying income and building happier, more cohesive teams.

Support Provided

  • Strategy Development and Review. Supporting staff and board teams to arrive at effective, shared strategic decisions, and to predict and prepare for change. Using a fresh, new approach - which connects busy people to vital information, breaks down barriers and shares the most effective, sector-adapted, strategy and change management tools - we help build capacity, develop and diversify services, create greater impact and efficiency, increase earned income and avert crisis
  • Team-driven, innovative fundraising strategies, which better meet the needs of today’s donor. Using decades of experience in raising millions, across a wide range of causes and income streams, we enhance existing team strengths, helping them to build fundraising know-how and confidence, to master some of the most effective fundraising strategy tools and to design valuable fundraising products, for growth and sustainability or to reverse crisis
  • More focused communication strategies. Bringing focus and simplicity to communications, strengthening brands and improving engagement, whether that’s for services or fundraising
  • Stakeholder research. Specialist third sector researchers, helping teams to stay connected to the needs and attitudes of users and funders
  • Evaluation. Helping organisations to find more revealing and valid ways to capture information for greater impact and investment
