Sue Vasey

Sue Vasey Consulting

Following a long career at a senior level in the not for profit sector, and eight years as founding CEO of Your Consortium, my consultancy supports organisations to effect change and respond to the changing landscape of the voluntary sector.

I specialise in visioning, strategic planning, facilitation, and mentoring and have key strategic relationships with many of the policy and decision makers across Yorkshire.

I am currently:

Director at The Ideas Mine

Coordinator of the North Yorkshire Community Learning Partnership

Chair of Orb Community Enterprises, Knaresborough

Trustee of Chain Lane Community Hub -

  • Level 4 Certificate in Leadership and Management (with distinction) and Business Administration
  • Level 5 Diploma in Mentoring
  • Your Consortium’s Bringing It All Together Programme was developed from my initial work to provide a CPD tool for Chief Executives and Senior Managers in the voluntary and community sector. This has since been accredited by SFEDI as a Level 7 qualification. I walked the talk by undertaking the programme in 2015.

The majority of my consultancy work has been with frontline organisations in North Yorkshire, funded by the local authority. It has involved business and organisational development, restructures, mergers and partnership development. I have also undertaken several Interim CEO roles for organisations requiring change management.

I was previously founding CEO of  Your Consortium and under my leadership the organisation secured over £22m in contracts and grants for voluntary and community sector organisations. I was in the privileged position of working with hundreds of front line organisations of all shapes and sizes.

In addition I held key posts in the NHS in my earlier career, bringing an understanding of the challenges and priorities of statutory sector colleagues and the importance of recognising these when developing the voluntary and community sector. I also spent ten years as a senior manager in a local front line organisation.
