Selinger Consultants

Overview

Selinger Consultants aims to provide charities and not-for-profit organisations with support to ensure financial resilience. Our work is rooted in ensuring your organisation is sustainable, and we work in a flexible, supportive way that builds the capacity and skills of your staff, volunteers and board to ensure that you aren't left with another 'consultant’s report' to gather dust on the shelf.

Some people call it 'agile' - we call it common sense. We believe that having a strong strategic focus, together with practical, deliverable plans are crucial for supporting your organisation to develop, grow and achieve its aims.

So whether you need some guidance on where to start, workshops to bring together a range of stakeholders, or just someone to offer a helping hand on moving to the next stage in your organisation's journey– we can help.

Experience

Leah has almost two decades of experience as a fundraiser and senior manager in the voluntary sector where she has worked in, and with, organisations to be more effective through a combination of support services covering governance, strategy, income generation and execution. Her consulting work specialises in fundraising and strategic planning and includes support to a range of local and national charities and social enterprises – both generating income directly and advising senior staff on related matters. Leah regularly takes on interim management roles, including CEO and Director level posts.

Since March 2012, Leah has worked with a range of local and national charities and social enterprises. Prior to starting Selinger Consultants, she held the post of Director of Fundraising and New Business at Youth Music, kick-starting their fundraising activity. From 2004 to 2011, Leah worked at Fairbridge, a youth development charity, in a number of roles, finally leaving the charity after three and a half years as Director of Fundraising.

Leah is currently a trustee of a small arts charity in the community in which she lives, and is a parent governor at her children’s primary school in Hertfordshire.
