M & E Consulting

M & E Consulting provides specialist advice, training and support with monitoring and evaluation to organisations in the voluntary and public sectors. We have a particular interest and experience in working with organisations to assess the outcomes and impact of their work. M & E helps organisations to learn and report on the effectiveness of their work.

We can provide:

  • training for organisations, specific teams or individuals , helping you to understand more about the key concepts involved in monitoring and evaluation
  • hands-on practical help with setting up monitoring and evaluation systems, working with you to design and implement an evaluation framework or to improve existing monitoring and evaluation systems
  • an evaluation of a specific project or piece of work, ensuring that you can learn from and report effectively about the delivery of your services
  • bespoke toolkits and guides – specific guidance for staff and volunteers on monitoring and evaluation issues.

We work collaboratively with you and your staff which means that you also increase your organisation’s understanding and skills in monitoring and evaluation.

We have worked with a wide range of charities, including:

  • Leap Confronting Conflict
  • Down's Syndrome Association
  • Kidscape
  • Prisoners Abroad
  • Streetwise Opera
  • the Centre of expertise on child sexual abuse
  • Rape Crisis England & Wales
  • Swindon Therapy Centre for MS
  • Two Little Girls’ Campaign
  • The Orchard Project
  • Dekamile

We are also associates with NCVO Charities Evaluation Services and have carried out many evaluations and capacity-building/consultancy projects in that capacity.

Diana has an MSc in professional practice in research methods and is currently studying part-time for a PhD. Avan also has an MSc in professional practice in research methods.

We have a fifteen-year track record of delivering high-quality, thoughtful evaluations and consultancy projects. In addition, we both have a background of working in the voluntary sector and are trustees of Birth Companions, a charity supporting pregnant women and new mothers facing extreme disadvantage.
