Spot The Gap

Overview

I’m passionate about diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities for everyone. I’ve spent my career working for and with charities that want to make the greatest social impact and latterly, with those trying to get the foundations of their organisations right, so that every employee has the opportunity to fulfil their potential.

Prior to setting up Spot The Gap, I worked as a senior leader for a number of organisations in the culture, sport and not for profit sectors including most recently as Director of Campaigns and Engagement for Women in Sport. My time at this national organisation really shaped what I do now through Spot The Gap offering services in the following areas:

We offer services in two areas:

  • ORGANISATIONAL: diversity and inclusion audits, action plans, strategy and training
  • TRANSFORMATIONAL: advocacy, policy and campaigns for social inclusion issues

I bring my core strengths of creativity, critical thinking and collaboration to all consultancy projects and you can see what my recent clients think of my work on my website.

Experience

I've worked in house for a number of small, medium and large charities and held four leadership postions including Deputy CEO. I've been an independent consultant for five years and I am a charity trustee and also work as a mentor and coach.

I’ve been the “token woman” in the room, having worked in male dominated leadership teams and boards. I also have lived experience of chronic illness and disability, and have been a family carer for a number of years.
