As consultants, we’ve all come across charities with ‘Founder Syndrome’.   It might be that the person who set the charity up has outlived their constructive contribution to the organisation, either as CEO or Board Chair.  Or that the CEO has just been there for too long and has become a barrier to the charity’s development, whether they are the Founder or not.
