Communications workshops and launch
Description
The UK-wide Management Development Network has undergone a facelift! The network’s new look will emerge from under its wraps on Tuesday 8 October, refreshed and rebranded as Consultants for Good.
To mark our rebrand, you are encouraged to bring a friend or potential member and join us for an afternoon of talks and workshops, and for our evening launch reception.
Afternoon session
The theme of our afternoon session is Communcating to stay ahead of the curve. In it we will explore how voluntary sector consultants and trainers can communicate their own work effectively, both as individuals and as a collective, to stay ahead of the curve in challenging times.
Award-winning trainer, Rob Woods, is Founder Director of Bright Spot and has nearly 20 years’ experience in fundraising and is author of several fundraising books. His training consultancy has grown, helping more charities, every year for over a decade. He’s done this with a determination to add more value to his clients and approach certain things differently.
In this energising session Rob will share some the strategies that have helped him as a consultant in the charity sector, including techniques to help you attract more of the right clients (who are willing to pay what you deserve) and ideas to help you grow your personal brand.
Then MDN member and communications specialist Mairi Damer of WORD UP Communications will lead a practical Building a brand workshop outlining how you can develop a strong brand of your own to promote your good work.
Evening launch event
Our free evening reception will see the grand unveiling of the new Consultants for Good brand and provide the opportunity to network over a glass of wine.
We’ll look at the crucial role of communications when it somes to promoting your own work and the work of wider voluntary sector, and we’re delighted to welcome Andy Hillier, Editor/Business Director of thirdsector.co.uk as guest speaker.
If you can’t make the afternoon session you’re welcome to come along just for the reception from 5.30pm. There is no charge for attending the launch event.
If you would also like to join us for a networking dinner at a nearby restaurant please let us know.
